So, why 'alt'? On Saturday I went to the Manchester Alternative & Burlesque Fair held in Sound Control, just off Oxford Road. Although I had been invited before, this was the first I have managed to attend.
It consisted of 3 floors of stalls selling all things 'alternative': vintage clothing, uniforms, latex wear, gas masks, fetish wear, jewellry, hats, and in the basement, some items you wouldn't recognize in an Ann Summers store. You really had to look twice to figure out what some of it was for!
There was also a burlesque show, although the top floor was so crowded, only the people at the front could see what was going on. There was also a pole dance area, but I missed that performance. Between acts, there was was a good rock sound track playing throughout the building.
I met one or two people I knew there, and it turned out that some of the people I met on Sunday (see below) had been there too. Small world.
Studio Rebellion 3LNER On Sunday I attended my second 'Studio Rebellion alt networking day' at Pathway Studio in Chester.
This is a chance for photographers, models and MUAs to meet, chat, exchange business cards, use the studio lights and interesting outbuildings and take photographs!

Studio Rebellion 3Phex Xie
Studio Rebellion 3Monsterr Cirque
There are always plenty of models there, some 'alt', some not. It is usually a very relaxed day, with everybody being friendly and helpful. Can't wait for the next one!
I got to shoot some interesting people, and special thanks go to:
LNER, Suzy, Kitty von Crypt, Harry, Phex Xie and the ladies of Monsterr Cirque.
