People sometimes ask me "How do I pose?", "What do I do with my hands?", or "I don't know what else to do!".
If you are nervous, or this is your first shoot, here are some ideas on how to pose. You don't have to do all of these, but it may give you some ideas. Try practicing some of the poses in the mirror before your shoot and see what works for YOU. Everyone is different, so there is no point in simply copying if you are not comfortable with it.
The addition of a prop can often help, changing the mood of a shoot, and giving the model something to do with their hands. A hat, for example, and the headphones used in this gallery. Some models use a cane or a brolly/parasol. The important thing is for you to have fun, and relax in front of the camera.
So, I hope some of these posing ideas from Cat Mars, aka canudoitcosplaygirl - seen here in some rare photos out of her usual lolita/cosplay costumes - will help.
See more photos from the posing gallery here. Do let me know what you think!
I have three sets out on approval with models. As soon as I get the nod, I will be posting some of the amazing photos here.
