Most of the photos I have of Twiglet are of her bellydance performances. So, it made a nice change to do a shoot with her dressed in elfin goth gear (or should that be 'elvish'?)
Anyway, we happened to pick one of the few sunny days in August, which is nice for walking about, but is hard work for a photographer. Hard work? Well, it's the high contrast and dark shadows under noses, chins and eyebrows. Also, the models are often squinting from the harsh light, especially around midday. Water and mowed lawns tend to be far too bright, and anything in shadow is too dark.
Still, I got some good shots of her at various locations along the Mersey from Speke to Widnes. I must have been chunnering on about local history (origin of the name 'Widnes', Queen Ethelfleda, Birchever, Thingwall, Childe of Hale, Transporter Bridge etc.) because she claims to have leaned something! A fun day, thank you Twiglet.
