About me

It feels like I’ve been taking photographs all my life, after I was given my first camera in 1960. It was all plastic, from Woolworths, and took black and white roll-film. I’ve not been without a camera ever since.

Some of my favourite subjects are people, landscape, nature, architecture, signs and industrial decay – rust, lichen, peeling paint.

I went professional in 2012, trading as The Hooded Lens, finally retiring just before lockdown.
